The 16-35mm was waiting at work today, after being unable to get in for a couple of days due to snow. Anyhow, here’s another one of my recent bargains off eBay, the Canon 16-35mm 2.8 L mk1

This now replaces my trusy sigma 18-55 2.8 EX DC, which was great apart from build quality issues with the rubber grip. Although I guess it did do quite well with the number of shutter clicks that it was used for.

Anyhow, if anyone’s looking for a 16-35mm and doesn’t have a fullframe camera I recommend the cheaper mark1 (especially second hand) as the main advantages to the mark 2 are optic improvements for full frame cameras. The mark 2 also has a larger 87mm filter compared to 77m size which are quite a bit more expensive.
