Led Display Plans

I’ve come up with a list of things that need to be done to the led display… here is what I’ve got planned:
- Move the LED display to a Linux box, as its currently running under Windows.
- Utilize the New IP camera full-time rather than the webcam. Done!
- Add some more RSS feeds and make them more visible somehow.
- Increase the FPS, either by reducing the resolution of the image, or…? perhaps using a flash applet.
- Have an online console for viewing messages and images in the queue.
- Neaten the code so it can be open sourced.
- Mount the camera and the LED display in a better position.
- Look into getting a larger display
Current system diagram: 
A bit overkill, only 2 computers would need to be used at the most simple end, one for the web/mysql/ftp server, the other to control the display and control the webcam/IP camera.

LED Message Display

I recently acquired an LED Message Display board and wrote some software to allow sending of messages to it. I decided it may be fun to connect it to the web and add a webcam feed as well, so people can view messages they add…

You can add you message to be displayed on the sign by clicking the above image, and read the FAQ here if you’re interested.

Meat Ship, aka Meat House V2

Well, we decided to make another meat creation this weekend…

Ingredients:
~20 sausages
~48 rashers of bacon
1.2kg of sausage meat
1kg of pork mince
10 franks
1kg of pastry (not 100% meat this time
)
1 onion
1 mushroom
2 packets of chipolata sausages
various food colourings
sage
Meat House Popularity & Recipe

It seems our creation of the “Meat House” has spread around the internet quite a way, appearing on various forums and blogs.

Steps Involved:
Starting to lay the walls on a bed of breadcrumbs
Building up the walls more
We decided kebab sticks would be a good addition to hold it together during the cooking
Creation of the lawn, (750g of sausage meat, seasoned with sage, and a load of food colouring)
Laying down the lawn, and starting the roof
Adding the roof, streaky bacon of course
A few more additions, some seasoning, a paprika car and a bird bath
Oven time!
100 minute later
Kebab stick removal, now everything inside is totally edible
And that’s it, meat house complete
Ingredients:
~20 sausages
12 rashers of bacon
1kg of sausage meat
2/3 a packet of bread crumbs
